Here at Lakeland Slate Memorials we aim to supply memorials produced to a high standard of workmanship using the best quality materials.
Care is taken throughout the design, production and fitting process to ensure a finished memorial that once fitted will provide an everlasting tribute to your loved ones.
We operate from a small workshop in the heart of the lakes where you are welcome to call in to see a small display of memorials and ask us any questions.
Having been a member of the British register of Memorial Masons (BRAMM) for several years we can ensure that all or fitting and fixing is carried out to the highest level in accordance to the British Standard.

Expert Craftmanship
All our slate memorials are engraved in the traditional style whereby the letters are v cut deep into the stone in the same way a hand cut letter would be. This ensures that the inscription is crisp and clear and will last a lifetime. We can offer a variety of fonts and also simple image etchings if needed. Once the inscription is agreed then we can provide a mock up proof for approval before the work begins.

We believe that a truly lasting memorial starts with using the right stone. All our slate is sourced locally right here in the Lake District. Lakeland slate is known for its high-quality and durability. Its renowned for its resistance to weather and does not encourage the growth of mosses or lichens, ensuring that the headstone remains looking beautiful for years to come.

Granite memorials
All granite inscriptions are available in either sandblasted, machine or hand cut.
All engravings are painted twice with enamel paint, either white, black silver or gold with an additional option of gilded gold.
Alternate Memorials
As well as memorials we also offer Cremation plaques, grave vases and slate wedges for inscription. Please email for sizes and prices.
Pet Memorials
We are also able to supply personalised memorials for your cherished companions. These can serve as a permanent reminder to all those years spent together.
